United Allies
This period of military commemorations includes 2018 marking 100 years since the end of WWI; 2019 being the 75th anniversary of D-Day and 2020 being the 75th anniversary of VE day. International commemorations recognize and pay tribute to the contribution of British, Commonwealth, US and Allied armed forces personnel and those who continue to service in armed forces.
Commemorative tours provide you with the opportunity to pay tribute to those who supported the efforts and to follow in these moments of historical significance.
- See the room in Southwick House, Hampshire from where General Eisenhower gave the go-ahead for Operation Overlord; launching the single biggest operation in military history.
- Visit Worcestershire and the armor plated carriage at the Severn Valley Railway used by King George VI in the Second World War
