Getting here and getting around.
By Air
England is well connected with international flights into the key gateways of London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Manchester.
We’d also suggest you explore the regional connections that provide easy access to places outside of London. If you’re travelling from the US there are frequent daily flights from 35 US airports.
By Rail
Once in the UK, travelling by rail is a scenic and relaxing way to explore England. Most main cities and towns have well-serviced railway stations and all will connect to London.
Train travel in England tends to be cheaper when booked in advance.
The BritRail pass provides ultimate flexibility and value for money for travelling in Britain. You must purchase your BritRail pass before departing for England.
Great Western Railway (GWR) operate across the train network from London across the South West of England and Wales. You can take a comfortable overnight sleeper train from London to Penzance, waking up to the stunning views of Cornwall.
For more information on international bookings with GWR, download this brochure.
Private Driver Guides
If you’d rather take the stress out of travel, why not book a private driver guide. Visit our tours & experiences page where we list some of the driver guides available in England.
