We begin on The Hoe in Plymouth at the start of this unbelievably tragic story, where we view where the first part of the American Amphibious Landing Convoy - T4 left Plymouth harbour.  We drive through the idyllic Devon countryside to Brixham Harbour where the 2nd part of the T4 convoy sailed from.  Short ferry ride across River Dart to Dartmouth and discover the tragic events that our American Allies suffered whilst on Exercise/Operation Tiger.

We stop for local tea/coffee before visiting the American War memorial.

Stop at Blackpool Sands which provides an American patriotic ‘Then’ and ‘Now’ photo opportunity followed by seeing the local English villages and farm steads that were evacuated at 6 weeks’ notice on 20th December 1943 to house 15,000 American military personnel.

Traditional fish and chips lunch at Slapton Sands before seeing and hearing the tragic events of our American allies on April 27^th & 28^th 1944.

Travel along scenic landscapes and countryside to Plymouth where we visit where the American Military Base was situated pre and post D-day.  Walk down the US Army’s Route 23 from Normandy Hill to Saltash Passage where the 5^th and 7^th Corps embarked their ships for their final journey to Utah and Omaha beaches on D-Day.  Visit the Barbican in Plymouth for a photo opportunity at the Mayflower Steps.
