America's Airborne D-Day, Devon

From Plymouth we drive to Upottery in Devon. Here we will retrace the footsteps of Easy Company of the 506 Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR) 101st Airborne Brigade which was serialised in the HBOs mini-series Band of Brothers (episodes 1 & 2 of Band of Brothers would give you a flavour of where we are visiting).
You will enter the original D-day Nissan Huts and Airborne Museum where you will be given an in-depth overview of Operation Overlord with our expert guide. You can see the weapons and uniforms that the 101st Airborne wore on D-day, 6th June 1944. Watch a short film of original footage of 101st Airborne departing for their mission to parachute behind enemy lines in Normandy France.
Take part in your own American flag raising ceremony on the historic Upottery Airfield.
