About us

We love Beltane because it marks the official start of summer, as it is the midway point between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. Who needs a better excuse to get together and dance?

We will be joined by the amazing Freedom Fields Ceilidh Band who will be leading the charge with Irish, Scottish, and English folk music – and helping us to dance too!

The whole family is welcome at this fun and energetic event.

You can join every dance, sit and observe the dancing or pause to catch your breath every once in a while, it's up to you. Make the most of the merriment - dress in green...Read More

The whole family is welcome at this fun and energetic event.

You can join every dance, sit and observe the dancing or pause to catch your breath every once in a while, it's up to you. Make the most of the merriment - dress in green or red, and maybe an extravagant headdress or bountiful accessories!

We will also be sharing a potluck feast, we would love it if you bring your favourite early summer dish to share with others as we fill our bellies to keep up the energy.

Culture Club is a monthly event that involve food, crafts, and arts and are themed around seasonality and culture. They are FREE to attend for Village Hub Members who live in Stoke and Morice Town. Donations are welcome from other visitors.

Blockhouse Folk: Past, Present and Future a two year project by The Village Hub to uncover and celebrate social and natural heritage in the area around Blockhouse Park (which includes the Stoke, Morice Town & Ford neighbourhoods of Plymouth, UK) made possible with funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
