Plymouth is privilaged to have some fantastic restaurants by some famous TV Chefs.
Chris & James Tanner
The Barbican Kitchen is housed in the world famous Plymouth Gin Distillery on the Barbican and was established in 2006 by the Tanner Brothers, Chris and James. James Tanner was a regular on the popular TV show, Ready, Steady, Cook and ITV's Lorraine & Saturday Kitchen.
In 2003 Chris & James filmed their own 15 part series, The Tanner Brothers. 2006 & 2007 saw the publication of their books on chocolate and ice-cream and in October 2010 James published his first solo book, Take 5, which has been released throughout Europe and in the USA.
Their aim at Barbican Kitchen is to deliver fresh local food at a realistic price, they also let kids under 5 eat for free...what more could you ask for!
Marco Pierre White
New to Plymouth, Marco Pierre White's Steakhouse, Bar & Grill opened in March 2017 and is located in the Crowne Plaza on The Hoe.
Marco won his third Michelin star in 1995 at The Restaurant Marco Pierre White in London, becoming the youngest British chef, at the age of 33, to win three stars in the UK. He curates the Steakhouse Bar & Grill menu himself and diners can expect great steaks and timeless English and French classics.
