Blast off into space or dive down to the bottom of the ocean in the Market Hall’s fully immersive dome - the only one of its kind in Europe. Be surrounded by wonderful images and sounds that transport you into other worlds and places you’ve never been before.
We run regular weekend screenings showing a wide variety of content that’s perfect for the whole family. From BBC Earth’s Antarctica to screenings about dinosaurs, outer space and under the sea there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
We also run sensory screenings with a range of content to soothe, relax and engage, including Rainbow Aurora, Into the Fruit Bowl and Colour Your Senses. These are great for early years, those with additional needs and anyone who wants to enjoy some peace and calm.
Situated in the heart of one of Plymouth’s most historic neighbourhoods, the Grade II listed Market Hall was built in 1852 and was formerly the market for the whole of Devonport. Full of original features, the renovation of the building by the Real Ideas Organisation has created a space that combines traditional elements with state-of-the-art immersive technology.
The Market Hall also features a welcoming café, with a tasty vegetarian breakfast & lunch menu on offer as well as delicious coffee and cake.
