Get ready for Dazzle! Devonport’s Festival of Light, Creativity, and Heritage
Plymouth’s highly anticipated Dazzle Festival is set to transform Devonport into a breathtaking spectacle of light and creativity from Thursday 27 February to Sunday 3 March.
Dazzle is a free event, open to all. Whether you're visiting with family, friends, or as a couple, Dazzle offers something for everyone.

What's on
The free, four-night light festival will commemorate 200 years of Devonport and its vibrant future. This event will light up heritage buildings and public spaces in Devonport with stunning projections and immersive art inspired by the area’s rich history, including the dazzle camouflage first developed right here in Devonport!
Building on experience delivering Illuminate, Real Ideas Organisation will transform heritage buildings and public spaces with stunning light projections bringing the past to life.
- There will be immersive performances for all ages
- Free 360-degree immersive experiences at the Dome
- Stories, exhibitions and poems from local people
- Roaming performance, local food vendors and more dazzling surprises!
Festival areas and map
Dazzle will be taking over Devonport, the Market Hall and Devonport Guildhall and Column.

Food and drink
A variety of local food vendors will be on-site, offering hot drinks, savoury snacks, and sweet treats, catering to a range of dietary needs.
Market Hall and Devonport Guildhall will serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments, including hot drinks.
For food vendor locations, pick up a Dazzle map when you arrive.
In Zone N, enjoy Cher’s Funky Faces and other dazzling activities for all ages.
Travel
Please note, there is no event parking available at Market Hall or Devonport Guildhall. Visitors are encouraged to use alternative transport options.
Shuttle Bus Service
A free, dedicated City Bus shuttle service (DAZ1) will operate throughout Dazzle, running in a loop from Derry’s Cross to Mutton Cove, James St, with request stops along the route.
Local car parks along the Shuttle Route:
- Stonehouse Creek Car Park (some restrictions apply Monday – Friday)
- Western Approach Car Park
- Theatre Royal Car Park
- Civic Centre Car Park
- Derry’s Cross Car Park
- Colin Campbell Court Car Park
Other City Bus Services to Devonport:
- 21 from Royal Parade (stop A1), 21A or 14 from Royal Parade (stop A2) towards Devonport
- Service 34 on Chapel Street
- Service 36 from Royal Parade (stop A2, Mon-Fri term time only)
The closest bus stop is Chapel Street, a 4-minute walk from Market Hall.

- Devonport Train Station is a 15-minute walk from the festival.
- Plymouth Train Station is further away, but buses from Western Approach can connect you to Bus 21, 21A, 21B, or 14 to reach Devonport.
By Foot
- Stonehouse Creek to Market Hall: 14-minute walk
- Western Approach Car Park to Market Hall: 30-minute walk
- Torpoint Ferry to Market Hall: 13-minute walk
Dazzle takes place in a residential area—please be considerate of residents by using public transport where possible and leaving quietly.

Special openings
Thursday 27 February: Local Community ‘First Look’ (5.30pm to 6.30pm)
Devonport residents are invited to an exclusive first look at Dazzle as a thank-you for being at the heart of the festival.
Sunday 2 March: Quiet Opening (5.30pm to 7.30pm)
A specially curated experience for visitors who may find loud sounds and busy crowds overwhelming.
