About us

BLOCK Café within the stunning Melville Building at Royal William Yard is a relaxed cafe, offering two distinct al fresco seating areas, a stylish bar and a comfortable indoor lounge.

Enjoy grab and go food - salad boxes, paninis, soups, sandwiches and more + delicious home-baked cakes and pastries.

BLOCK has arguably the best coffee in the yard, served by our friendly, welcoming team. Open Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm and at the weekend 9am to 2pm.

BLOCK focuses on working with local suppliers and keeping ingredients as fresh, locally- sourced and delicious as possible.

With harbour views + free Wi-Fi, BLOCK is the perfect venue to while away an afternoon, bring your laptop for some hybrid working or meet with friends.

Private hire for parties and events is available on request.
