About us

The Great Sea Choir bring you 'Sing We Joyous' - a winter concert of a cappella folk songs to celebrate the winter season.

Join Plymouth's renowned contemporary folk choir for their annual winter concert. The choir are celebrated for their complex and textured arrangements and for the high quality of their singing. Directed by Julu Irvine and Heg Brignall of folk duo Suthering, you can expect some festive favourites alongside more unusual traditional and contemporary folk songs as well as some original songs written by Julu and Heg.

This year, proceeds will go towards the choir making their first recording with sales of the finished recording going to charity.
