About us

Open Air Cinema UK is delighted to announce the Plymouth Drive-in Film Festival.

Plymouth is set to welcome its own drive-in cinema this July. You will need to head to Milehouse Park & Ride for your first chance to experience big screen cinema since the United Kingdom went into lockdown. Movies will be shown every day between July 4th and July 20th.

There will be something for everyone on the giant LED screens, including family favourites, cult classics and guilty pleasures. Just as in the original American Drive-In cinemas, you’ll be able to tune your car radio in to the audio soundtrack for an authentic experience.

To comply with social distancing rules, patrons will not need to leave their cars. Tickets will need to be purchased online and registered to each car’s registration number to eliminate the need for handtohand contact. Cinema snacks will be ordered and paid for from your car and delivered directly to your vehicle. Cars will be separated with extra space either side to comply with social distancing rules. This does mean there will be a limited number of cars with only 80 per film showing.

Film announcements and ticket sales to follow in the next 7 days.
