About us

For our first open exhibition of the year, we asked local artists; What does 'The Nude' mean to you?

Beyond a motif, the meaning of 'Nude' has evolved from tool of idealised beauty to a powerful vehicle for social critique, liberation, and self-expression across genders, identities and sexualities.

This exhibition includes works in a variety of mediums, showcasing local artists' diverse perspectives and interpretations and reflections on the Nude.
Disclaimer: This exhibition, Nude Not Rude, explores the artistic representation of the human form. Some artworks featured in this exhibition include full-frontal nudity, including photography. The works on display are intended to be viewed as expressions of creativity, beauty, and the human experience.
Visitor discretion is advised. The exhibition may not be suitable for all audiences.

By entering, visitors acknowledge that they are aware of the nature of the artwork and that the exhibition is presented in an artistic context.

Artemis Collective is committed to uplifting and empowering local artists and building connections between all who value creativity and personal expression.
We aim to support all artists in Plymouth and the surrounding areas, from have-a-go hobbyists and emerging creatives to established and full-time professionals.
