About us
Royal William Yard will hold its first Spring event with an unforgettable extravaganza from world-famous performers, The Invisible Circus. This unmissable celebration of entertainment will take place during the monthly Good Food and Craft Market on Sunday 7th April.A dazzling troupe of performers will bring the era of The Greatest Showman to the Yard, with an immersive programme that the whole family will enjoy! With acts taking to the stage from midday, there will be an array of performances and street acts located throughout the Yard, including stilt walkers, a cycling pianist, balloon modelling and more!
Bringing P.T. Barnum's vision to life, performers will entertain the crowds with daring feats headed up by The Greatest Showman himself and front man of Invisible Circus, Doug Francisco, as seen on BBC's Daredevils and Divas. Acts will include Felicity Footloose, the amazing upside down daredevil acrobatic queen and the fabulous Stripy Twins performing aerial hoop dance and stilt walking. Plus knife throwing from Pete Dobbs, comedy juggling from Daryl J Carrington and the infamous Rimskis Cycling Piano will be making his way around the Yard.
Bristol based circus theatre company, The Invisible Circus, has been entertaining crowds for over 20 years and is best known for performing in unusual locations that bring them closer to their audience, including arts and music festivals around the world.
The ever-popular Good Food and Craft Market will run from 10am – 3pm on the lawn, spreading along Main Street and into Melville Building. The market attracts some of the South West's top artisan makers as well as the region's finest food and drink producers and vendors. Whether it's the best seasonal Spring produce or Easter treats, the market will have all bases covered!
A vibrant event packed with family-friendly fun, there will also be circus themed craft activities in The Guardhouse for children to truly embrace the creativity and theatre of the circus and a chance to meet some of the performers.
