British Firework Championships

The British Firework Championships on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 August 2025, is a must-see event, showcasing the incredible talent and artistry of six top pyrotechnic companies as the evening turns dark.

This year, we see the return of the 'Champion of Champions' where six previous winners will be invited back to compete to be crowned top.

These experts will compete for the coveted championship title, presenting ten-minute displays that will leave you impressed. Beyond the fireworks, immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of Plymouth Hoe while enjoying the stunning displays above Plymouth Sound.

Before the competition, you can enjoy live music from the best bands around the south west. Catering will be available for refreshments throughout both nights.

As it's a hugely popular event, be sure to plan travel arrangements ahead of time, as well as checking any access information.

2024 Results 

BBB Fireworks were crowned winners of the British Firework Championships, in partnership with Associated British Ports. Celestial Firework Displays from Leicestershire were named as the runners up while Pyrotex Fireworks claimed third place. The Young People's Choice Award was given to Pyrotex Fireworks.

About the British Firework Championships

Since they were launched in 1997 by the Event Services Association (TESA), the British Firework Championships, run in partnership with Plymouth City Council, have become a signature event both for the UK firework industry and Plymouth, attracting global media coverage and visitors from as far afield as Australia.
