There’s nothing like sitting outside soaking up the sun and enjoying a delicious meal and a refreshing drink. Plymouth has plenty of spots which are perfect for doing this, each with their own unique offerings. From waterfront views, freshly caught seafood, live music and more, there are more than enough places to choose from. Discover below our top ten places for al fresco dining in Plymouth.

Savour fresh seafood at The Hook and Line

Looking for sea, sun, and fresh seafood? Look no further than The Hook and Line. Nestled in the historic Royal William Yard, The Hook and Line offers ample outdoor seating overlooking the River Tamar. The menu is a seafood lover’s dream featuring fish which has been caught by their very own boats. We highly recommend giving the monkfish coconut curry and pan-seared scallops a try! The Hook and Line is also home to the city’s very first speciality rum bar and has its very own signature ale, the Hook, Line & Sinker.

Situated by the picturesque Mayflower Marina, Jolly Jacks offers stunning waterfront views, a relaxing atmosphere and a diverse seafood menu which focuses on the finest catches of the day. Make sure to try the seafood linguine!
