A four-night light festival is coming to Plymouth this year. As part of the Devonport 200 celebrations, Dazzle! Devonport's Festival of Light will light up heritage buildings in the area with stunning projections and immersive art, inspired by the area's rich history.
The event is free to attend and a must-visit in Plymouth from 27 February until 2 March!
Valentine's Day
Love is in the air in Plymouth for Valentine's Day on 14 February. There are plenty of romantic things to do in the city throughout the weekend, including limited-time-only offers at Plymouth's top attractions and restaurants. Live Music
February's live music programme is one to really get excited about. The month gets underway with the return of Saturday Sessions to Plymouth city centre. The City of Plymouth Pipe Band will be performing at the new performance area at Old Town Square, celebrating their 50th year, it's expected to be a well-attended show to start the month.
Don't miss 'Let it Shine' a tribute to Take That at the China Fleet Country Club. Sing and dance along to all your favourite Take That tunes on Saturday 8 February.
Live music in Plymouth continues on Tuesday 18 February, with Rock Orchestra by Candlelight at Plymouth Pavilions. Enjoy music from Metallica, AC/DC, Rolling Stones, Rage Against The Machine, My Chemical Romance, Linkin' Park, SOAD, Guns N Roses in the quaint surroundings.
Music shows take place throughout the month at Theatre Royal with tribute concerts including TaylorMania, Radio Gaga and FastLove taking place across February.

Culture Kicks
Theatre Royal Plymouth has plenty of exciting shows you can see this month. Experience the very best of theatre with the buzz of a thrill ride, delivering something truly unique at Ghost Stories, running from 4-8 February. Other shows at south west's biggest theatre this month include Mary Poppins and Richard Chappell's AMPLIFY.
February is also the last chance to check out exhibitions at Plymouth's free-to-visit museum, The Box.
The Osman Yousefzada - When will we be good enough? exhibit asks questions about power, class and our shared histories and runs until 9 March. The Box is home to some of the city’s incredible collections with thousands of natural history specimens, a full-size replica woolly mammoth and so much more.
Also starting at the Box this month is John Lyons: Carnivalesque. The exhibition showcases dynamic, expressive works and explores the folklore and mythology of Trinidad and Tobago, in particular the large colourful carnival that takes place there just before Ash Wednesday every year.

February half term in Plymouth
There are plenty of half-term activities in Plymouth to keep the whole family entertained. Discover Plymouth's fascinating attractions including The National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth Gin Distillery, Dartmoor Zoo and so much more. Or if you're heading out and about there's a wide array of beautiful walks that perfectly capture the essence of February in Britain's Ocean City.
Other exciting events
The first Sunday of the month means the return of the Good Food and Craft Market to the Royal William Yard. The market is incredibly popular, always attracting hundreds to the Yard throughout the year. This month's market will be held in the iconic Melville building where craft traders offer a terrific range of local hand made goods. After all your shopping head out to the courtyard and check out the tasty treats on sale. From bau buns and bacon rolls, to fresh cakes and coffee, the market is brimming with scrummy snacks to tuck into!
Football star Dion Dublin is also coming to Plymouth this month ahead of the hotly-anticipated FA Cup fixture between Plymouth Argyle and Liverpool. Head to The Bank Pub for the Emirates FA Cup Live Tour where host Dion Dublin will share memories of his career, famous FA cup fixtures from throughout the years, as well as answer questions from fans.
