Get ready for a wave of excitement as Seafest splashes onto Plymouth’s waterfront! This year promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with the inclusion of Plymouth Sound National Marine Park with lots more activity areas including Mount Batten Peninsula, Mount Edgcumbe, Tinside Lido, Royal William Yard and more.
This year there are additional sustainable travel options including a Shark and Ride which will cover all landbased stops between The Barbican and Royal William Yard. and to help reach the new extended areas of Seafest there are subsidised ferry trips, subject to availability, between Mount Batten and The Barbican and onto Royal William Yard and Mount Edgcumbe.

Family fun on the Barbican
On the Barbican there will be fun-filled activities for the whole family. Enjoy a variety of food stalls, sea-themed crafts, roaming performers and interactive activities like face painting, shell painting, and trail explorations. Discover traditional skills with demos on lobster pot-making, fish filleting, and crab picking, and catch the lively fish auction. Enjoy the live music stage alongside the festival bar, sponsored by Venton's Devon Cyder, offering refreshing drinks by the water.
Dance away to Shanty music
Dive into the beats of Seafest with an lively music programme, sponsored by The Early Bird, on the Barbican! From shanty bands that’ll have you singing along, to a wide variety of artists delivering non-stop entertainment, the atmosphere will be electric. The party doesn’t stop when the sun goes down—catch these incredible performers lighting up local venues late into the night!
Dive into sea-themed fun at Royal William Yard
Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the sea with a variety of family-friendly activities at Royal William Yard. Enjoy fresh seafood, join in hands-on experiences, and soak up the unique maritime atmosphere.
Discover unique traders
Discover the vibrant array of trader stalls on the Barbican; enjoy some freshly prepared dishes on the spot or pick up some special treats to take home. There will be everything from street food and shellfish to cheese and organic produce, alongside local gins and the official Bar at West Pier provided by Venton's Devon Cyder. Don't miss Seafest’s resident artist, Debby Mason, and explore her stunning collection of beautiful prints.
Get out on the water
There's lots of opportunities to get out on the water during Seafest. You can try your hand at stand-up paddleboarding at Royal William Yard, or head to Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre for kayaking, sailing, or SUP! You can even set sail on the breathtaking replica vessel, The Bounty, from Channel 4's "Mutiny," and experience the thrill of the sea.
Explore Mount Batten Tower
Step back in time with a visit to the historic Mount Batten Tower on Sunday 15 September. This is your chance to soak in panoramic views and delve into the fascinating history of the artillery fort that once stood guard over Plymouth Sound.
Go swimming
Cool off with a splash at Tinside Lido, with family-friendly swimming! Dive into free swim sessions, try out scuba diving and snorkelling, or join in on a special doggy paddle session so no one misses out on the fun!
Become an Ocean Explorer
Embark on the Ocean Explorer trail for a fin-tastic adventure! Seek out 10 sea creatures hidden in local shop windows, collect stamps from each spot, and discover fascinating marine facts along the way. Once you’ve completed the trail, return to the Tourist Information Centre to claim your sweet reward!
Explore Mount Edgcumbe with Alpaca Taster Sessions and House Tours
Add some alpaca charm to your Seafest experience with a visit to Mount Edgcumbe. Get up close and personal with these adorable animals on a guided walk, or step back in time with free tours of the historic Mount Edgcumbe House.
Beach cleanup at West Hoe Pier
Contribute to preserving Plymouth’s natural beauty by joining the beach cleanup at West Hoe Pier – a great way to give back to the environment while enjoying the sea.

Join the Ocean Conservation Trust for a special Ocean Conversations evening at the National Marine Aquarium on Sunday, celebrating Seafest with insightful discussions on marine conservation.
Head over to The Box for free children’s puppetry workshops inspired by the story of The Whale’s Tale—a creative and educational experience for the little ones.
There's also walking tours to help you disover the waterfront and drawing workshops to create sketches of the beautiful environment.
