Spooky season is upon us! No Halloween is complete without a pumpkin to carve, fortunately there are plenty of places to pick your own pumpkin in and around Plymouth that make for the perfect Halloween day out!

Check out some of the best pumpkin picking fields near Plymouth. 

                 

Pumpkin Festival at Pennywell Farm 

Family-friendly attraction, Pennywell Farm, are bringing back their ever-popular Pumpkin Festival this Halloween! This year’s festival is set to be bigger than ever with access to the pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkin. While you’re there check out the pumpkin trail, live music and the dress a scarecrow competition. 

If you're feeling extra spooky, try the after-dark pumpkin picks! Accompany your picks with live music, a trailer and tractor ride to make it a perfect autumnal evening!

                 

South Devon Pumpkin Patch  

Pick the perfect pumpkin for Halloween at the South Devon Pumpkin Patch. Open from 10am-4pm on the weekend of 4/5 October and 12/13 October there are pumpkins of all varieties in the fields. Pumpkins are priced from just £1.

While you’re there don’t miss the family friendly activities including The Pumpkin Express, Big Striker, Mini Striker, Bouncy Castle, Coconut Shy and the Bale Run.  

                       

Pumpkin Fest 

Pick up a pumpkin at Strawberry Fields in Lifton this Halloween. Choose from the thousands of pumpkins in the fields as well as other Halloween-themed activities around the farm.

Torchlight Maize Maze and Pick Your Own Pumpkin 

Take a short drive to Holbeton just outside Plymouth and find your ideal pumpkin to celebrate Halloween. Pumpkins are waiting to be picked in the after-dark session and while you’re there check out the torchlight Maize Maze! 

Get your tickets for the torchlight maize and pick your own pumpkin. 

                     

Harvest Weekend at Buckland Abbey 

Explore the Halloween fun at the historic Buckland Abbey this Halloween.  The National Trust venue will be hosting a Harvest Weekend to show off their beautiful Autumn display. Though not necessarily a pumpkin pick – there will be massive pumpkins included in their displays!  The themed celebrations will include classic family games such as sack racing and apple and spoon races to take part in!
