5 things to see and do at this year's West End Carnival

Roll-up, roll-up! Join us at the West End Carnival in the streets around Plymouth Market for a fun packed day for the whole family. The theme for this year is Dragons & Mythical Beasts and there's so much to look forward to at this year's event which returns on Satruday 24 August!

Watch the exciting West End Carnival parade

See a huge smoke breathing dragon and more mythical characters as part of the colourful procession of performers at the West End Carnival Parade, starting at Frankfort Gate at 11am, travelling up New George Street and down Cornwall Street before returning to Frankfort Gate at 12pm.

Enjoy a huge range of entertainment throughout the day

Expect lots of colourful and exciting performances throughout the day, with the odd fire eater thrown in for good measure! There’s also the opportunity to take a selfie with a dragon, vintage cars or REACH Wrestlers.
