Get ready for some egg-cellent ideas in this week's Friday Five! We have lots of fun ideas for things to do in Plymouth over the Easter break. Check out some family-friendly trails, try out Louisina chicken, take a walk around a National Trust park, have a play on the Sound's newest addition, or enjoy some Easter activities at The Box.

Embark on a family Easter trail

There's two free Easter trails the whole family can get involved in over the holidays, both running until 17 April!

Follow the Spring Time Egg Hunt in the West End of the city centre and find the ten eggs hidden in shop windows. Find them all using the online trail page and enter your answers to be in with a chance of winning some prizes!

Hop on down to the Barbican for the Barbican Bunny Bums trail,  match the names of the bunny with the bunny bums using your free trail leaflet from the Tourist Information Centre and collect your sweet treat once you’ve finished.

Check out Louisiana chicken

Visit Plymouth's newest chicken restaurant Popeyes on New George Street in the city centre for some famous Louisiana chicken! Brought from New Orleans to Plymouth, the restaurant specialises in fried chicken and a range of unique side options, as well as shakes, drinks and sundae desserts!

Take a walk around Saltram

Burn off the Easter treats with a walk around Saltram. Explore the house full of treasures, stories & intrigue, as well as the secret garden to lose yourself in, plus a park that cyclists, walkers, and four legged friends can all enjoy.

Have a swim in Plymouth Sound

Dive into Plymouth Sound and make use of the newly deployed pontoons. The pontoons are located inside the Tinside Beach swimming area with staggered positions, one closer to shore for younger or less experienced swimmers and the other further out. Just please remember to use carefully and stay safe in the colder waters.

Visit The Box

The Box is open daily throughout the Easter holidays including Good Friday, Saturday, Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from 10am to 5pm, to enjoy their galleries and exhibitions, and don't forget to follow their Gus Honeybun trail! Also on display is football legend Pele's number 10 shirt that he wore during his friendly match against Plymouth Argyle!
