Category: Friday FiveThings to do

What better way to explore our beautiful city than being on the waterfront. Here’s our top five for this week to help you make the most of your weekend.

Take a boat trip

Take a boat trip around the harbour, over to Mount Batten or round to Royal William Yard with Plymouth Boat Trips. A fantastic way to see the sights and feel the breeze off the ocean.

Enjoy a refreshing dip

The Tinside Lido is not only a great place to go for a swim, but also features stunning views of the sound and a fantastic way to cool down on those hot summer days.

Paddleboard your way around

Hire a Stand Up Paddleboard from South West SUP and paddle your way around the truely unique location that is Firestone Bay. When you've finished, grab a refreshing coffee and snack from one of the Royal Williams Yard's many cafes and restaurants.

Walk the Waterfront Walkway

Grab your hat, suncream, water and some snacks and wander along the Waterfront Walkway, part of the SW Coast Path.

A great way to explore the waterfront and get some exercise at the same time.

Dine and enjoy the views

The Terrace Cafe Bar Restaurant is tucked away on the cliff face of the Plymouth Hoe. This is the best place for eating out in Plymouth whilst enjoying panoramic world class views over the water.

There really is no better way to spend a warm summers evening than having some great food, a glass of wine and watching the sun set with a live band playing relaxing music, so head on down and share the view!
