It’s a bank holiday and the sun is set to make a comeback – good news all round! Here are our top five things to see and do in Plymouth as we head into the three-day weekend. Just don’t forget to book ahead.
Take part in an otterly amazing outdoor activity
The Moor Otters Trail is here! Try the Mayflower trail in Plymouth City Centre, which has 16 colourful and quirky decorated otters for you and your family to find, or venture further afield to Dartmoor, where there are a whole lot more of these colourful, quirky creatures waiting to be discovered.
Kick back and relax with Pub on the Piazza
Pub on the Piazza is back! Head to the city centre to check out the pop-up, continental-style drinking and dining options on offer until 6 June. It's all COVID-safe and the ideal spot for an al fresco pit stop if you're doing a bit of retail therapy at Drake Circus.
Try one of Plymouth's newest restaurants
Book a table at The Club House in Royal William Yard. It's brand new, we're big fans of its plush, staycation-inspired interior (2021 vibes!) and the menu includes all your favourite home comforts, as well as world-renowned beers and the famous Club House hanging kebabs.
What's not to love?

We all know the classic Brothers Grimm fairytales, but tonight the Grimm Sisters from the award-winning Scratchworks Theatre Company are here to set the record straight with a marvellous mix of live music, singing, comedy and a magical frog called Jeremy...
Explore the National Marine Aquarium
Did you know that Plymouth’s National Marine Aquarium is the UK’s largest aquarium? With over 4,000 animals, there’s so much to explore and experience.
