The south west’s largest free food and drink festival returns to Plymouth city centre from Friday 31 May to Sunday 2 June 2019, bringing with it over 100 food and drink traders showcasing the best regional produce.
Celebrity chefs
With a jam packed programme of chef demonstrations, you’ll be spoilt for choice when looking for a chef to take some culinary inspiration from. Don’t miss Great British Bake off winner from 2015, Nadiya Hussain, on stage on Saturday 1 June, and on Sunday 2 June Steven Carter-Bailey, runner up in the eighth series of the show on stage at 1pm.
Ready Steady Cook
The popular Ready Steady Cook challenge will return on Friday 31 May with BBC Spotlight presenter Natalie Cornah attempting to keep both teams in check as they cook for the crowds at 1.30pm.
Kids' Kitchen
Have you got some budding little chefs at home? The Kids’ Kitchen, provided by CATERed which will feature a packed programme of workshops, all free of charge for the little ones to try! Come and try your hand at making sausages, fish cakes, a smoothie, griddle cakes and more!
Continental Market
The Continental Market is returning for 2019 and will stretch from Place de Brest (by Barclays Bank) to the Sundial and feature a wide variety of food and drink from around the world. If you’re after something tasty for lunch head for the street food area to tuck into freshly cooked food, with everything from paella to waffles on offer.
Delicious Drinks
Wandering through all of the delicious food is thirsty work – take a break with our bar sponsors Bays Brewery for a refreshing pint. If you’re not into beer there’s plenty of other options with gin, rum and cocktails available from stalls throughout. Buy a bottle to take home or enjoy it there, as long as you’re not driving!
Knead to try
If you’re a fan of delicious baked goods (and who isn’t?) don’t miss a visit to our title sponsors, Column Bakehouse who will be selling a range of their delicious breads and cakes. Best known for their artisan sourdough Column Bakehouse is Plymouth’s first and only social enterprise bakery that uses their profits to provide opportunities for local people. This year their stand includes a seating area so if you can’t wait to get home to tuck into your tasty treats you can take a seat and enjoy them with a great view of the chef stage.
The best fresh produce
With everything from fresh meat to cheese and fruit and veg if you’re after some delicious ingredients to cook up your own Flavour Fest inspired dishes at home you can find everything you need amongst our traders. You’ll find plenty of options for dessert too with a plethora of puddings, cakes, brownies and even marshmallow’s available!
