About us
Join us for this exclusive event and book signing! Hear Hettie Judah, writer and exhibition curator, as she shares insights from her research for her book, Acts of Creation: On Art and Motherhood which explores the joys, messes, myths and mishaps of parenting through visual culture.
Hettie will discuss some of the key themes from her book and touring exhibition, Acts of Creation: On Art and Motherhood, drawing on artworks from ancient goddess artefacts to contemporary interpretations of pregnancy. Hettie will also highlight works that are currently on display in The Time is Always Now: Artists Reframe the Black Figure and Planet Ocean exhibitions at The Box.
Books will be available to buy from our shop.
Hettie's talk will last for up to an hour and will also include a Q&A. She will be signing books for 30 minutes afterwards.
