Jaws, the most feared/loved film about the terrors of swimming, is the story of a small American seaside town terrorised by a great white shark and has lost none of its shock value in the years since it was first released but has gained a cult following. Beware though; you may want to quote famous lines at the screen but you may never want to go swimming again.
