About us
Music, Dance and Spoken Word Arising from the Meeting of the Tribes
This magnificent 8-piece orchestra marries the kaleidoscopic patterns of Zimbabwean mbira music with Celtic Folk melodies and Western Classical instruments.
Sophisticated African percussion and uber-funky double bass gives the music an irresistible groove through which European flavours of strings, woodwind and guitar are intricately woven, with soulful 4-part harmony singing and virtuoso dance.
Denise Rowe is a choreographer, movement artist, singer, film maker and mbira player. Trained in the UK, Senegal, Ghana, Cameroon and Zimbabwe, she has led workshops in traditional and contemporary pan-African dance for 14 years.
Music, Dance and Spoken Word Arising from the Meeting of the Tribes. A journey into tender places of the human heart, this new offering seeks the healing of ancestral wounds through movement, sound, ceremony and celebration.
