Seafest FAQs
Seafest is back for another year on the waterfront in Plymouth! This year's event is set to be bigger than ever thanks to the new partnership with the Plymouth Waterfront Partnership and the Plymouth Sound National Park.
If you've got any queries heading into the event, check out some of the frequently asked questions below which may be able to assist you.
When is it?
Seafest returns to Plymouth on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September 2024.
Where is it?
Seafest takes place across the waterfront in Plymouth and this year is stretching further than ever before! There will be Seafest-themed events at locations across the city including The Barbican and Sutton Harbour, The Royal William Yard, Tinside Lido and West Hoe Pier, Mount Edgcumbe and Mount Batten.
Is it free?
Entry to the event is free, although some of the activities may require a fee.
Do I need to buy a ticket?
You don't need to buy a ticket to Seafest, although some activities may require booking.
What entertainment is there?
Live music performances will take place across the weekend. Check out who you can expect to see at this year’s event.
Is there food and drink available?
Yes, you can check out a wide range of food and drinks stalls at various locations at the event.
Will there be traders at the event?
Yes. You can check out handmade crafts and quirky gifts from a number of traders at Seafest.
Is there parking?
There is parking available for all the locations at this year's Seafest. There are more than 20 car parks in and around Plymouth city centre, the Barbican and Sutton Harbour, providing thousands of parking spaces for visitors. Furthermore there is street parking near Tinside Lido and West Hoe, and at Royal William Yard.
How do I get to the different locations for Seafest?
Travelling between all the locations for Seafest has never been easier! Purchase subsidised ferry tickets for the weekend and travel between the various locations on both the Mount Batten Ferry and ferries courtesy of Plymouth Boat Trips. You can also use the 'Shark and Ride' shuttle bus service, operated by Plymouth Citybus, which will travel across the city every 45 minutes.
On Sunday 15 September bus stops on Union Street may be affected by the Union Street Community event.
What measures are in place for accessible needs?
Several measures have been implemented to ensure that Seafest is an accessible event.
There is blue-badge parking available throughout the city on a first-come first-serve basis, as well as a number of car parks to use.
Furthermore, chill out zones are in place where you’ll be able to soak up the atmosphere of the festival while relaxing away from the hustle and bustle.
