About us
A biography of the life of Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo, who channeled the pain of a crippling injury and her tempestuous marriage into her work.Frida's life brings together several identity-conflicts, which will dominate the second half of the 20th century. Her pioneering role is equally important for the understanding of feminism (unprecedented images of the female body and traumatic experiences), postcolonialism (the difference between being Mexican or American) and the political stakes of modern art.
