About us

This will be Terry's first time playing in Plymouth. As it’s a school night we’ve decided to put on an awesome all day FREE event where you’ll get the chance sink a few cheeky ones whilst listening to Francis & Verdi play a cross section of Funk, Soul, Dub, Boogie, building up to some dirty house tunes in the evening.

With a fervent international DJ schedule and numerous productions appearing all over the place, a lengthy residency at Fabric, major label remixes piling up and everything else in-between, Francis' name has been solidified as a bonafide UK legend, a force to be reckoned with.

By the time Fabric opened their doors in 1999, Francis was already known as one of the key spearheads for London’s emerging tech house scene. Throughout the late 90s, he was producing innovative house records with a distinctive punchy flair via the likes of Wiggle, Eye 4 Sound, Swag, and Pagan - labels that are still highly treasured by today’s generation of upcoming DJs.

Fabric’s co-owner Reilly stated that when they were defining their Saturday night music policy, the London-based sound pioneered by Francis was one of their ‘’key inspirations’’, and he was enlisted to provide the soundtrack in Fabric every weekend. Other guests were invited to join him, but he was always at the heart of Fabric’s sound world. He’s remained at the helm of Saturday nights at the club for the last two decades, consistently displaying a defined style of DJ’ing that’s proven ‘’timeless. Like the seminal records he’s produced over the length of his career, he has true staying power’’.

Recently some of his classic works have been reissued for new audiences to discover, while he’s also revived his Eye 4 Sound imprint as an outlet for releasing his fresh material. It is hard for many not to fall out of fashions or trends in the ever-changing music scene but he has managed to stay at the forefront of cutting edge, high-class house music for well over two decades.
