About us

Come along to our special event filled with pasty-themed fun for all ages!

Find out about the history of the pasty and some of the changing food fashions of the last century, see images and archive film footage from our collections, capture your own pictures in our photo booth and test out your taste buds with exotic and historic pasty fillings.

Executive Chef Dez Turland will be on hand throughout the day to demonstrate the art of pasty crimping and help you if you want to have a go yourself!

From 11am to 12pm, food and nutrition expert and lecturer at the University of Plymouth, Dr Clare Pettinger will give a talk about the history of the Cornish pasty and a variety of other fun food fashions that have come and gone over the last century (bookable).

You can also bring in your favourite recipes and food-related memories for our 'Your Recipes, Your Heritage' project!
