About us

We have a cunning plan to take you back to Elizabethan England with Blackadder II.

The play, adapted from the original BBC production, is set in England during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I (1558 – 1603) and sees the principal character, Edmund, Lord BlackAdder as a Tudor courtier attempting to win the favour of the Queen while avoiding execution by decapitation, a fate that befell many of her suitors.

Come and marvel at the historical portrayal of these much loved characters with Baldrick as a bridesmaid, Nursey as a cow and Percy as a lady of the night, in four of the much loved episodes, Chains, Money, Bells and Head.

Bringing this hilarious comedy to life are Clive Lovatt as Lord BlackAdder, Steve Baker as Percy and Jodie Haughton as Queenie.

An amateur production performed by The Tamaritans Theatre Company.
