Mr Kriss, the UK’s largest illuminated Santa is visiting Plymouth’s waterfront this December!

Mr Kriss, the UK’s largest illuminated Santa sculpture, is visiting Plymouth’s waterfront this December and will be situated in The Parade, outside Bonne Sante and Rockets and Rascals, for December.

Mr Kriss is a truly magical sight to behold. He is adorned with over 10,000 lights and is sure to bring festive cheer to everyone who sees him. Visitors of all ages will be able to get up close and personal with Mr Kriss to take photos and ‘Santa Selfies’. The sculpture is a whopping 5m high and 5m wide taking up a footprint of nearly 40sqm. He is made of an aluminium frame adorned with special eco-friendly lights that save 80% of power.

“Mr Kriss is going to add even more sparkle to the Barbican and waterfront this Christmas. He’ll be visiting Plymouth from the end of November and be here until the end of December. We can’t wait to see the ‘Santa Selfies’ and photos that visitors take with him. We’d encourage anyone coming to see Mr Kriss to take some time to explore the rest of the Barbican and waterfront whilst they’re here – to support our many local businesses, cafes, restaurants and shops and soak up the festive spirit in our historic quarter.”

Mr Kriss is a must-see for anyone visiting Plymouth’s waterfront this Christmas season. Visiting Mr Kriss is free so there is no excuse not to come and see him for yourself and to also spot some special ‘Plymouth’ touches that have been made to his traditional red and white outfit…

And, don’t forget to bring those letters for Santa when visiting the Barbican this December – there will be a giant 3m tall post box next to Mr Kriss with a special light show to let everyone know the letter is on its way to the North Pole!

Mr Kriss arrives on 29 November. He, and the giant Post Box for letters to Santa, will be situated in The Parade, Barbican. Use #PlymouthSantaSelfies or #PlymWaterfrontSantaSelfies with any Santa Selfies taken for a chance to be featured on the Plymouth Waterfront Partnership social channels.
