Plymouth businesses triumph at Devon Tourism Awards

Tourism businesses in Plymouth have been celebrating success after being recognised at the Devon Tourism Awards.
Several Plymouth establishments came away with prizes from the evening on Thursday, November 16 which was held at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay.
Plymouth winners include:
Dartmoor Zoo won the gold award for Business Events Venue of the Year. The zoo was also commended in the Wedding Venue of the Year category.
The Fig Tree @36 won gold for Restaurant of the Year.
Plymouth Tourist Information Centre and Mayflower Museum won silver for Visitor Service Information of the year
An Introduction to Stool Making - The Weld Space in Plymouth was also commended for Experience of the Year.
Destination Plymouth sponsored the Unsung Hero of the Year award for 2023, which was awarded to Shelly Worthy Eveleigh of Born Hectic Events, Newton Abbot
The successful businesses in the Devon Awards will now be fast-tracked into the South West Tourism Excellence Awards in March and possibly into the national VisitEngland awards later in the year.
