Brand new retro events coming to The Terrace Cafe

Heyday Events, a brand-new company from Plymouth, have teamed up with The Terrace Café and Bar, to organise retro music events on the Hoe. The series of events will start with Heyday Presents: An Evening of Motown on the 14th August and Heyday Presents: Funk ‘n’ Soul on the 11th September.
The events will be outside which will ensure a covid safe dancing arena for some much-needed soul shaking. Start times will be 6pm and will finish at 11pm, tickets to the Motown event can be found using the button below.
Heyday Events will introduce customers to a unique immersive experience, with DJs playing records on vinyl to ensure an authentic sound. Customers can celebrate the timeless music of Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, Martha Reeves, Chic, Smokey Robinson Earth Wind and Fire, plus many more.
The Terrace Café and Bar, situated on Plymouth Sound, will be the backdrop to the events. A brand-new lighting display made from upcycled vinyl records and LED tape will act as the centrepiece. Alongside a 60’s vintage lighting display and picturesque views of the Hoe. Tickets for the Motown event have almost sold out and tickets for the Funk ‘n’ Soul event are due to be release soon.
About the Company
Heyday Presents: An Evening of Motown will be the first night of a series of events that will run once a month at different bespoke venues around Plymouth. The events will be guided by the music themes which will include Disco, Britpop, Motown, Reggae and many more. They will all feature professional photographers, props and innovative entertainment.
The events will be organised by Michelle Rysdale, a professional Events Manager who is renowned in the South West for booking artists such as Chase and Status, Craig David, Becky Hill and many more. She has spent her lockdown creating Heyday, a retro events company and is excited to be finally bringing out some of her creations this summer. With more than 5 years’ experience in Events Management, Michelle’s new Heyday events are not to be missed. She will be looking to bring down the best retro artists to Plymouth and will be creating new innovative events with the Heyday Brand.
