About us

Join us at Mount Batten beach to discover more about the incredible creatures living in our rockpools!
Our Ocean Discovery Rangers are expert Rockpool Guides, ready to lead you on Rockpool Safaris along the rocky shore. Combining science and storytelling, they will help you uncover the secrets of our local wildlife.

Event details:

The session lasts 1.5 hours, but you are welcome to stay for as long or as little as you like!
Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather conditions.
Remember to bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
All necessary equipment will be provided for the session. Please note that we do not use nets for rockpooling.
Meet at the bottom of the steps at Mount Batten Beach at the start of your session. Restrooms are available at the nearby café.
