About us

Monty's Bistro and Café lies in the heart of Plymouth's Historic Barbican and is literally a stone's throw from the famous Mayflower Steps. Open daily for breakfast, coffee, lunch and afternoon tea and light bites.

Its refreshing, cool and easy going style is typical of its owner, Craig Arbuckle, who hails from New Zealand. This all day Café serves a great range of Sandwiches, Baguettes, Panini’s or Ciabattas, Salads, Hot Snacks and the best all day breakfast on the Barbican.

Everything is cooked from mostly local fresh ingredients and the menu changes every three months or so. Monty’s is also licensed and has a good choice of wine and bottled beer to quench any thirst.

If you’re after a great start to the day or a funky location to meet friends for lunch, Craig and the guys at Monty’s will definitely provide you with a chilled and friendly atmosphere.
