About us

Welcome to the friendly and relaxing atmosphere of the Admiral MacBride, located on Plymouth's historic Barbican seafront.

The Admiral MacBride is a traditional English Pub located a stones throw away from the National Marine Aquarium and built upon the original Mayflower Steps from where the pilgrims set sail for America.

We also offer a wide selection of lager, real ale, cider & wine for your enjoyment. We provide an extensive food menu using, wherever possible, locally grown vegetables and fresh fish and shellfish landed right here on the Barbican. 95% of our meals are cooked fresh to order so a waiting time of approximately 15 minutes is to be expected.

Be sure to check out our Chef's Specials Board for more delicious dishes. The Admiral MacBride is pleased to announce the recent opening of three new guest rooms. Each room is decorated to a high standard and includes breakfast. Room 2 offers stunning views across the Barbican waterfront.

To book a table or room, please call 01752 262054 or email them.
