Easter-themed trails have taken over Plymouth during this year's holiday. There are plenty of locations and attractions across the city offering tricky trails to take on throughout the Easter holidays. Check out what there is to offer below:
The EGGstraordinary Barbican Trail:
Explore the historic streets of The Barbican this Easter with The EGGstraordinary Barbican Trail (29 March-14 April). Collect the trail sheet from the Tourist Information Centre opposite the Mayflower Steps and make your way around the local area to discover who will be hatching from the eggs hidden on the trail.
They are all creatures that live in or around The Barbican except for one, find the odd one out and be sure to return the correctly filled-in trail form to secure an Easter treat!
Spring Time Egg Hunt
Visit the city centre for an egg-stra special Spring Time Easter Egg Hunt during the holidays. Explore the vibrant West End streets and try to discover all ten large eggs that are displayed in various shop windows across the area. Each egg will be decorated with a spring theme, and hidden inside it will be a letter. Find all the eggs and combine their letters to make a word.
Once you have discovered the word, enter the online competition to be in with a chance of winning one of three £50 vouchers to spend in Waterstones, The Entertainer, WHSmith or Smyths.
Easter Eggsplorer Trail at Dartmoor Zoo
Get ready to discover the spectacular grounds of Dartmoor Zoo with the Easter Eggsplorer Trail.
The Easter bunny has cheekily hidden eight eggs around the zoo, collect a trail sheet and follow the clues to find them all to collect a prize!
Easter Adventure Trail at Saltram
Check out the stunning gardens of Saltram House in Plymouth this Easter and take on the Easter Adventure Trail between Saturday 23 March and Sunday 14 April.
Journey through the garden and discover ten colourful activities including games and challenges for the whole family to get stuck into. Speed your way around the race track in the trees, hop to glory in a sack race, compete in a sack race and so much more at the exciting trail!
Admission to the gardens costs £3 and includes a chocolate egg, or a vegan 'Free-From' chocolate egg, both made using cocoa from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms.
Royal William Yard Easter Egg Trail
Take part in a free family Easter Egg Trail at the Royal William Yard during the holidays. Available from Saturday 30 March until Sunday 7 April.
Pick up a trail between 12-5pm each day from Ocean Studios Cafe, Hub Box, Wagamama, Steel Brew, Everyman or Block Cafe and find the eight Easter Eggs that have been hiddena round the Yard to claim a prize!
Dartmoor Prison Museum Easter Trail
Visit the fascinating Dartmoor Prison Museum this Easter Holidays and take on the Easter-themed trail. Explore the museum and try to find all of the hidden Easter characters that are dotted around the place to win a prize!

Dragon Egg Hunt
Head to Buckland Abbey during the Easter holidays and help their ranger team find all 10 of Mother Dragon's eggs that have been scattered around the grounds at the Dragon Egg Hunt.
Pick up a map, take on all the actviites and find all the eggs around the trail and when you've succesfully vompleted the quest, be sure to collect an Easter egg as a treat.
Pennywell Farm: Egg-stravaganza Trail
Say hello to the animals at Pennywell Farm during the Easter holidays and take on the Egg-stravaganza trail. The trail, which is suitable for children of all ages will challenge participants to follow and find clues all around the farm which will eventually lead you to the Easter Bunny's house! Complete and return your filled trail sheets to win a chocolatey prize!
