About us

The Invicta Hotel & Restaurant is an AA-accredited 4-star independent boutique hotel where Georgian architecture meets modern contemporary design. Known for its intimate atmosphere, personalised hospitality, and an exceptional gastronomical experience in its restaurant, the Invicta offers a memorable stay for all guests.

Prime Location

Nestled on the iconic and historic Plymouth Hoe, the hotel overlooks Hoe Park and is within walking distance of key attractions, including the seafront, the historic Barbican, the city centre, Plymouth Pavilions, and the Theatre Royal. Some rooms also offer partial views of Plymouth Sound, adding to the hotel’s charm.

Parking

The hotel provides onsite parking for 10 vehicles at £5 per day, with reservations required. Concessionary parking permits for on-street parking are also available at Reception.

The Bowline Restaurant

The Bowline Restaurant offers an intimate dining experience in a stunning setting, where contemporary furniture blends seamlessly with period features and sweeping bay windows. Guests can enjoy fresh, seasonal menus crafted by a passionate team of chefs using locally sourced produce from both land and sea. The restaurant is open Monday to Saturday, 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm.

Complement your meal with award-winning wines from around the globe or indulge in a freshly cooked-to-order full English breakfast each morning. For lighter options, a continental breakfast with freshly baked croissants and pastries is also available.

The hotel’s contemporary, newly refurbished lounge and bar offer the perfect space to unwind. Guests can enjoy a pot of tea or coffee during the day or indulge in afternoon tea. In the evening, the lounge transforms into a cosy retreat, ideal for socialising with family, friends, or colleagues.

The bar is stocked with a fine selection of bottled beers, locally brewed ales, lagers, and ciders, as well as an impressive range of international spirits, including the world-famous Plymouth Gin, produced just a short walk from the hotel.
