About us

Overlooking the ornate Great Hall and promising a memorable journey through food, the sophisticated restaurant is overseen by Head Chef Scott Paton – formerly Head Chef at The Horn of Plenty and South West Chef of the Year.

Àclèaf - meaning ‘oak leaf’ in Anglo Saxon – represents the turning of a new leaf, a nod to the restaurant’s past Acorn hospitality awards and the history of the “enchanted place on the hill” which – when built in 1587, played host to Sir Francis Drake and Sir Walter Raleigh.

A showcase of inventive British fare, using only the finest locally sourced ingredients, Àclèaf is a unique dining experience exclusive to Boringdon Hall where Scott Paton’s seasonally led signature four-course menu takes centre stage. To complete the dining experience, paired wine flights perfectly matched to each individual dish are available.

Àclèaf is a AA 4 Rosette restaurant and features in the MICHELIN Guide 2022, and was awarded their first MICHELIN Star in March 2023.

With the choice of a four-course Table d’hôte Menu with optional English-led wine pairings – guests can expect dishes such as guinea fowl, asparagus and oatmeal; squab, rhubarb and peppercorn or mushroom and a hazelnut brioche.

The hotel is also home to the Mayflower Brasserie and modern Spatisserie as well as private dining spaces for those special occasions.

Àclèaf is open 7 days a week for dinner, offering a four-course Table d’hôte Menu (£120) with vegan and vegetarian menus available too as well as paired wine flights (£80). Bookings available via acleaf.co.uk
