Travelling to Plymouth
Plymouth is easily accessible via road, rail, water and air.
The main route via road is via the M5, which merges into the A38 which runs directly to Plymouth. Drive time from London is around four hours and only two and a half hours from Cardiff or Bristol.
Travelling from London via train will take around three hours with direct trains between Plymouth and London Paddington. Other direct trains run from Bristol Temple Meads and Birmingham New Street.
The closest airports to Plymouth are Exeter Airport and Newquay Airport, both about an hour’s drive away. Bristol Airport serves more destinations and is just a two hour drive.
