Museum of Royal Worcester
Discover Worcester’s rich porcelain heritage in the place where it was made for over 200 years, minutes from the centre of Worcester and the River Severn. Recently refurbished galleries tell this story of design, skill and innovation and the people who made and enjoyed these extraordinary objects.
Enjoy a special illustrated talk drawing out the importance of Royal Worcester’s American connections from the huge and ambitious Chicago vase that Worcester sent to the World Fair in Chicago in 1893 to the significance of the American market for the factory, America’s favourite designs, and the story of skilled Worcester-bred artists who emigrated to the US. There will be a special opportunity to see some artist drawings and records from the factory archive. For smaller groups up to 12 this can be
delivered as a guided tour through the galleries.
Your visit will include freshly made tea, coffee and biscuits on fine Royal Worcester china and this can be upgraded to enjoy a full traditional English Afternoon tea, all on vintage china. The Museum provides a free audio guide with entry and the Museum Shop offers a wide range of vintage and new Royal Worcester china for sale.
