Ever wondered, why so many American visitors are so fascinated of Canterbury? Many are coming to find their routes and their ancestry.

On this tour you will walk in the steps of big names which many of the Canterbury families took with them to the New World.

After America was discovered, many European emigrated. Religious tensions on this side of the Atlantic could be solved by those who dissented leaving the old ways behind and starting a complete new live in the New World.

Walking back into the 17^th and 18^th centuries, our tour looks at the places where some of the American Pilgrim Fathers have been born, lived, worshiped and in some case even return to.

Find out connections reaching into the present time of families and even find how they connected to past US presidents. Lets talk about names such as Comfort Starr of Harvard College, Robert Cushman and the Mayflower, Dukes of Marlborough and the Churchill’s and many more.

At the end of the tour there is the option to go on and visit the Cathedral. This is subject to an additional charge levied by the Cathedral.
