Rewarding your staff with a Christmas party is a fantastic way to show appreciation for their hard work and boost morale. Here are some creative ideas to make your staff party extra special this year:

Choose a Unique Theme

  • Winter Wonderland: Transform the venue into a magical snowy paradise with twinkling lights, snow machines, and frosted decorations.
  • Great Gatsby: Go for a glamorous, 1920s-inspired celebration with flapper dresses, jazz music, and classic cocktails.
  • Masquerade Ball: Encourage elegance and mystery by inviting staff to don masks and elegant attire for a sophisticated evening.

 Plan Interactive Entertainment

  • Photo Booth with Props: A Christmas-themed photo booth with fun props is always a hit.
  • Live Band or DJ: Bring in a live band or DJ to get everyone on the dance floor.
  • Casino Night: Set up casino tables for a fun gaming experience. Distribute "company cash" that employees can exchange for raffle tickets.
  • Work with a local team building company who can offer some great entertainment to make your party go with a bang!

Festive Food and Drink Experiences

  • Custom Cocktails: Offer a few holiday-themed cocktails like “Santa’s Sangria” or “Gingerbread Martinis.” A cocktail-making class could also be fun. Use local distilleries and perhaps offer gin tasting experiences too – Plymouth Gin, Barbican Botanics
  • Ale tasting: Partner with local breweries in Plymouth and the surrounding area to offer ale tasting experiences or pairing with local food – Steel Brewery, Dartmoor Ale…
  • Food Stations: Consider hot chocolate bars, dessert stations, or even live chef stations like carving or pasta bars.  Why not include a Seafood station and work with local restaurants to offer this – Boathouse or Hook and Line.

Create a Gifting Experience

  • Set up a Secret Santa or White Elephant Exchange during the event.
  • Offer personalized gifts or company-branded items for everyone to take home.  We have some great local businesses who can offer this  - RedRok who are based in Plymouth.
  • Employee Recognition Awards: Present small awards to recognise outstanding achievements, from "Team Player of the Year" to "Best Newcomer."

Choose the Right Venue

  • Look for a space that suits your team’s size and style, from elegant ballrooms to trendy restaurants or even outdoor spaces (with heated marquees for warmth).
  • Consider unique settings like a Museum – The Box, A brewery, or a boat which can take you are lovely cruise of our shoreline or the river.  We also have an aquarium, a zoo and a football stadium which can offer excellent party facilities with a difference.

Add a Charitable Twist to the event

  • Incorporate a charitable component, like donating a portion of the budget to a local charity or organizing a toy drive, to spread the holiday cheer beyond the company.

Ultimately, the best parties create an atmosphere where everyone can relax, have fun, and celebrate their achievements together. Whether big or small, focusing on details like good food, music, and the opportunity for everyone to bond will make the party a success for all!
