Whatever the occasion, The Box provides the perfect back drop for a memorable meeting or event, at a competitive price.

With prices starting from just £45, you can guarantee a memorable experience for your guests, clients or colleagues.

All of our prices are inclusive of VAT and equipment hire, so there are no hidden costs. Plus, all of our profits go back towards taking care of our collections and keeping The Box free for all.

Our Spaces

Meeting Room

Our Meeting Room isn’t just four walls. You and your guests will have a unique view of South Hall and our flight of figureheads whilst you move your business forward at team meetings, networking lunches and product pitches.

The room features a flexible AV set-up which includes access to our high-speed Wi-Fi, video conferencing facilities and responsive onsite technical support.

Full day and hourly rates available, from £45.  

South Hall

If you’re looking for a space with the wow factor, then look no further than our new 200m2 extension, South Hall.

This space is the perfect option for larger events, with unique voews of our giant figureheads and access to Tavistock Place, our public square.

Hire can include the use of the furniture already located in The Box Kitchen & Bar. Alternatively, we can remove and replace the existing set up with our own event furniture, or give you a blank canvas to work with.

If your event needs even more space, we can also include the adjacent shop for a small additional charge.

Availability for this space is dependent on service for The Box Kitchen & Bar and exhibitions. Contact us directly for more information.

Ground Floor

Take over the whole ground floor of The Box for your next event.

Enjoy exploring our permanent galleries: Mammoth, Port of Plymouth and 100 Journeys, as well as the latest exhibitions in South Hall and North Hall.

Your hire fee will also include access to the Kitchen & Bar where you can enjoy a seated banquet or standing reception underneath our figureheads.

We can also work with you and your suppliers to ensure your unique backdrop has the perfect soundtrack.

 

Galleries

The perfect setting for your next event is only a call away!

Stun your guests with a room filled with beautiful works of arts and a floor to ceiling case filled with hundreds of objects. Or test your skills as a television presenter in our Media Lab.

Most galleries are available to hire individually or as an additional space to an existing event package.

Prices start from just £200.

 

Tavistock Place

Our 1,000m2 public square links to The Box to the city centre and is the perfect space for outdoor screenings, music and product placement.

This flexible space has a variety of areas that are available to hire, all with access to outdoor power, water and a licence until 1am.

Event hire can also include catering from The Little Box, our outdoor takeaway café.
