Boringdon Hall Hotel and Spa

About us

Situated on the edge of the idyllic Dartmoor National Park and just 5 minutes from Plymouth, the 5-star Boringdon Hall Hotel features fantastic historic interiors and elegant rooms.

All of Boringdon Hall’s beautifully decorated rooms and exquisite suites feature flat-screen LCD TVs, private bathrooms with luxury toiletries from GAIA Skincare, and tea/coffee facilities.

Rooms feature bright, modern decor, and the four-poster rooms boast classic furnishings with carved wooden beds, antique furniture, and historic features. Overlooking the great hall you’ll find the intimate and sophisticatedly romantic Àclèaf; a space to gather around the table and taste exquisite menus created by head chef Scott Paton. A showcase of inventive British fare, using only the finest locally sourced ingredients, Àclèaf is a unique dining experience exclusive to Boringdon Hall where Scott Paton’s seasonally led signature four-course menu takes centre stage.

To complete the dining experience, paired wine flights perfectly matched to each individual dish are available. Acleaf is a MICHELIN star and 4 AA Rosette restaurant. Traditional Afternoon Tea and Champagne Afternoon Tea can be enjoyed within the magnificent Great Hall, decorated with the coat of arms of James I, a grand stone fireplace, and suits of armour. Afternoon Teas at Boringdon include an indulgent tier of sweet delicacies, scones and sandwiches served with a range of speciality teas and coffees (£35 per person. Champagne Afternoon Tea £42 per person).

The hotel can help guests in arranging local activities, including climbing, horse-riding, or scenic walks within Dartmoor National Park. The 18-hole golf course at Boringdon Park is also just a few minutes away. Boringdon is also home to the award-winning Gaia Spa. Drawing inspiration from Gaia – the goddess of nature – the spa’s interior and exterior encompass natural materials including wood, stone and glass for natural light in order to bring the outdoors in. The Spa opened in Summer 2016 with 12 treatment rooms including a couples treatment room, two infinity pools and indoor and outdoor heat experiences, as well as a gym and a yoga space. The spa offers a range of personalised massages, facials and beauty treatments, alongside treats for mums to-be, day packages and afternoon tea.
