The Tudor Rose Tearooms and Garden is located in the charming district of the Barbican Plymouth, famous for its rich maritime history and vibrate atmosphere.  The Tudor Rose is situated in one of the beautiful listed 16th century buildings on New Street, the oldest street in Plymouth.

With its quaint tearoom, charming banquet room, elegant patio and historic picturesque English garden, The Tudor Rose offers a unique and inviting experience just meters away from the quiet retreat of the traditional Elizabethan Garden, the historical Elizabethan merchant house and the world-famous Mayflower Steps from where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail to discover America and the new world in 1620.

We are a trusted favourite among our many local customers and also serve as a unique experience for newcomers exploring Plymouths historic waterfront area and the ancient cobbled lanes of the Barbican.

At the Tudor Rose, we start each day by freshly baking our delicious scones, filling the air with an irresistible aroma that often proves too tempting for passers-by. Our delightful range of afternoon teas make the perfect indulgent treat and our Sunday roast lunch is a customer favourite, renowned for its mouth-watering signature gravy and delicious flavours.

Choose from our selection of exquisite loose-leaf teas, tailored to suit your individual taste, or enjoy a perfectly brewed cup of coffee. Our coffee is roasted right here in the West Country and freshly ground to order by us in house. Our trusted suppliers provide us with fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced produce for our menus. 

The Tudor Rose is a popular choice for intimate wedding receptions and private parties where, we can create bespoke packages to suit your individual needs.
Our “Afternoon Tea Party Menu” is a huge hit! We specialise in baby showers, birthdays, special occasions, business lunches, wakes, Hen parties, coach parties, and more.
