The Waterfront

About us

A Grade II listed building steeped in maritime history, The Waterfront boasts stunning views overlooking Plymouth’s historic harbour. Find a cosy nook indoors and watch the waves roll in, or dine al fresco on the terrace to soak in the sunshine and watch the world go by with a pint.

Whether you’re after delicious seasonal delicacies or fish and chips with the family, a pitstop pint with friends, or a three-course celebration with all your loved ones, there's something for everyone at The Waterfront.

A short walk from the city centre, The Waterfront is a stylish contemporary bar and restaurant with modern style décor and a relaxed atmosphere providing a fantastic waterside setting. Inside are plenty of nautical references and a respectful ‘nod’ to the building’s maritime heritage, awash with natural light making the most of its wonderful waterside location. The large, decked terrace outside area offers plenty of dining space resulting in the perfect spot for a sunny drink, fantastic food or that extra special celebration.

Under the stewardship of General Manager Kayleigh Smith, The Waterfront epitomises St Austell Brewery's commitment to excellence, seamlessly blending exceptional cuisine, beverages, and service to cultivate an ambiance teeming with vibrancy, complemented by one of the best views in the city to provide a truly memorable dining experience.
