Discover locally made gifts at the Royal William Yard
Two markets are taking place at the iconic Royal William Yard over the bank holiday weekend. Starting on Saturday 4 May is the Native Makers Market at Ocean Studios. You can expect 25 artisan makers, live creative demos, freshly made foods and more at this dog-friendly event which runs from 10am until 4pm.
The following day marks the return of the Good Food and Craft Market which is set to be held (weather permitting) on the Royal William Yard green. This always proves to be an extremely popular event with stalls selling locally-made gifts, and delicious street food. This is a fantastic opportunity to support local businesses and is dog-friendly. The event runs from 10am until 3pm.
Discover the city with Plymouth Trails
Learn about the spectacular sights, sounds and tales of Plymouth's incredible past with the Plymouth Trails app this Bank Holiday weekend. The free-to-download is app is packed with exciting themed trails to try that take you acrosss the city from the stunning sights of the waterfront to the quaint streets of The Barbican.
The app uses real-time maps to guide you around the city. Each stop contains a mix of text, images and videos. There are image overlay stops where you can experience now and then, with archival images merging over the current view.
Explore Smeaton's Tower
